Hi developer,
App development is changing, so is RocketSim. I'm honestly constantly trying to find out what works best, and this week, a major step is achieved with a live browser preview of Xcode's Simulator.
RocketSim is all about keeping you in your flow. The Agent Skill and CLI automate a lot for you, and now you can close the bridge by staying fully inside Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or any agent IDE.
You can follow your agent as it navigates, take over to inspect the result, and turn visual feedback into a precise prompt it can immediately work with.
Update to RocketSim 16.5.0 or continue reading to discover everything that is new.

Preview and control the Simulator in your browser
Browser Preview streams the local Simulator you already use into a token-protected localhost page. Your build, app data, and Simulator stay on your Mac.
When you use the RocketSim Agent Skill, your agent automatically makes the preview available. You can:
- Follow the agent while it taps and navigates your app
- Click, drag, scroll, type, and use Home or Lock yourself
- Inspect the accessibility hierarchy and highlight elements
- Select visual targets, leave feedback across screens, and copy an agent-ready prompt
Bonus: it shows the worktree for the Simulator at the bottom and creates a dedicated simulator for your worktree. No more guessing!

New build insights for teams
If you've been using RocketSim for Teams, you've also been able to explore your app's build duration across Xcode versions, macOS versions, and schemes.
This week, we've leveled up insights with 6 new insights, all previewable at our brand new landing page. Find out which MacBook performs best, which Xcode version is dominant, and which days your team can be more productive.

Device Hub Compatibility
Device Hub is a brand new Simulator app, and it's actively in development. Xcode 27.2 beta's changelog shows how active the team is on adding improvements.
Many developers found missing functionality like slow animations, drag-and-drop support, and shortcuts for switching dark mode or shaking the device. I'm confident these will come to Device Hub in a future Xcode release.
For the time being, though, I added these features to RocketSim so you can continue without changing your habits.

Meet RocketTrace
While reducing RocketSim's own CPU usage, I have also been working on a new tool dedicated entirely to finding performance problems: RocketTrace.
Instruments captures the evidence. RocketTrace turns dense recordings into ranked, measured investigation leads across CPU hotspots, hangs, animation hitches, SwiftUI updates, Swift Concurrency, and app launch.
Each finding includes measured impact, representative app-code backtraces, and a focused prompt you can paste into your coding agent. Recording, parsing, and analysis stay on your Mac.
RocketTrace is coming soon, and private TestFlight invitations are going out in small batches.

Valuing user feedback
Some of the best RocketSim improvements begin with a developer explaining where the workflow still feels slower than it should.
Mustafa asked for a way to open the recording editor immediately after recording, without waiting for the initial conversion. That option is now available under Settings → Captures → Editing.
Enable Open editor directly after recording and RocketSim will take you straight to trimming and editing before it starts the final export.
Thanks for the suggestion, Mustafa! If there is a small change that would improve your daily workflow, please reply to this email. I read every response (and I'll thank you in the changelog! ;-).

RocketSim 16.5 also adds support for the latest iPhone 18 Simulators and new iPad Pro M5 device bezels.
Get the update and bring your running Simulator into the same workspace as your coding agent:
If you have any feature requests or bug reports, feel free to open a ticket on GitHub.
Until next time,
