RocketSim 15 Beta Invite: VoiceOver Navigator & 120 FPS Recordings

Hi developer, It's time for one of RocketSim's largest releases in years. That's also why I'm announcing it as a beta: there's too much to release without going through a beta phase: VoiceOver Overlay VoiceOver Navigator 120 FPS Recordings Network Insights New documentation Screenshot & Recording fixes for Xcode 26.3+ That's apart from many bug fixes like the annoying User Defaults editor that shows up repeatedly, recording audio being out of sync, and App Store Connect screenshot dimensions being off. And you can join the beta here: Join the RocketSim 15 Beta VoiceOver Overlay & Navigator RocketSim 15 allows you to draw VoiceOver elements on top of the Simulator. You can instantly see how your views are read by VoiceOver and in which order. ​ There's a toggle to enable to overlay and a refresh button to manually refresh. You can search through elements or select a rotor category. The real interesting part is the Start Navigating button which will allow you to use the arrow and return keys to navigate as if you are using VoiceOver: ​ This is a feature that I haven't seen in any other tools yet and can truly make a difference in understand how a user would navigate through your app with VoiceOver. Feel free to give it a repost if you like the feature ;-) 120 Frames Per Second (FPS) recordings If your app uses fancy animations (Looking at you, Hidde), the default 30 FPS recordings aren't always fulfilling. Details are left out and those can make a difference. RocketSim 15 introduces 120 FPS recordings, which works with all the features you're used to (touches, bezels, custom background, audio recordings, etc!) You can enable this feature from the settings: ​ Networking Insights Build Insights moved into the now more prominent main window of RocketSim and we've also added a new page: Networking Insights. These are insights based on your Network Monitoring sessions from passed apps. We believe that AI will help you build your apps (now, and in the future), and we want to give you the insights you need to make sure AI does the right thing. One of those insights that matter are networking performance: ​ The above screenshot shows duplicate calls in my other two apps Stock Analyzer and Vydio. It's one of the insights, you can also find failure spikes, caching opportunities, slowest, and most requested endpoints. Whenever you need more info on a specific endpoint, you can use the toolbar buttons or double click on a row: ​ These are insights for specific requests that you're used to from the Network Monitoring feature. Broken Screenshots & Recordings in Xcode 26.3+ Since Xcode 26.3, screenshots & recordings have been broken. Basically any tool that uses simctl or other Simulator connections broke. This is the related error you would see: Timeout waiting for screen surfaces Even if RocketSim points to Xcode 26.2 while you have 26.3 or higher installed, they would break. Luckily, I've been able to fix this in the latest RocketSim Beta. New documentation Our documentation was left untouched for a while and we could feel it. We decided to take a step back and launched a complete new documentation website. It's now statically generated, allowing us to use our Agents to directly update documentation on any local work we do. The docs are now: More detailed Covering more features and common questions Better structured You can check it out at docs.rocketsim.app. The best thing: you can open a PR for docs as it's now fully hosted on Git. Each page has a "Edit Page" button in the bottom in case you're able to help out.
