As someone who loves to build things, I've learned that having thousands of partners in the HubSpot ecosystem isn't just a number — it's a superpower for our customers. |
But sometimes, when you're new and figuring out ways to integrate and expand, it may be difficult to hone in on finding the right partner and how to collaborate with them. |
You could normally take weeks of research and meetings (and countless cups of coffee) to find the right fit. |
So, when I saw this new agent (built by @RowanHuble on agent.ai) that identifies strong partnership opportunities for businesses, I had to try it. |

Real-World Tests with OpenAI and Notion |
Being the curious developer I am, I decided to run this agent against two completely different potential HubSpot partners: OpenAI (who hasn't heard of them) and Notion. |
Fun fact: Notion is already in our partner ecosystem, but I wanted to see if the agent would catch something we missed. |
In both cases, the agent was quick to browse the target companies' websites and do exactly what a human would do: understand their domains, core offerings, and market positioning. |
But what I liked about this agent is that instead of going deep into company-specific info and drowning me in data, the agent just grounds everything in context with HubSpot's core offering in mind. |
For OpenAI, it suggested an API integration partnership for enhancing our CRM's sales, marketing, and service offerings. |

For Notion, it suggested leveraging Notion's AI capabilities in combination with HubSpot's customer data for enhanced insights and collaborative AI-powered workflows — which instantly got my mind racing. |

But what's even more useful here is that the agent doesn't just throw the partnership ideas at you… It actually tells you about the unique value propositions that both companies have to offer to each other. |
For example, when it analyzed the potential OpenAI partnership, it highlighted a synergy where HubSpot has a strong value proposition for enterprise customers, and OpenAI makes revenue through enterprise solutions. |
This is all very helpful data before pitching the idea to the potential partner. |
Well-thought-out research will lead to a more polished proposal, which ultimately could be what separates you from the hundreds of other pitches that the partner receives every day. |
